ἔνειμι
ENEIMI “A space, a pause, to emerge from our own labyrinth and perceive our boundless dimension of infinite possibility.”
ENEIMI is a site-specific installation designed specifically for Site 2 in Agios Nikolaos, Crete. It is a restorative pavilion conceived as a viewpoint, meticulously positioned to frame the horizon where the sea and sky meet.
The installation is a small monolithic structure crafted from rammed local earth, appearing as if it was an ancient ruin emerging from the soil. It is composed of two walls, 240 cm in height, positioned at an angle to create an invitation and a perspective toward the horizon. A third wall, 140 cm high, acts as both a boundary and a screen; its proportions are carefully designed to mask the coastline, focusing the viewer’s gaze exclusively on the sea and the sky. The dimensions of the installation are meticulously aligned with the Golden Ratio.
The project is conceived as an experiential journey from chaos to clarity—both within and beyond the self. It provides a physical boundary—a frame—to the boundless; making the vastness of the sea feel intimate and personal.
