A place where time moves slow

“It would be good if little places could be set up all over the country, like a little chapel where the traveler, or wanderer could come for an hour to meditate on a single painting hung in a small room, and by itself.” Mark Rothko

The RESTORATIVE ROOM is an evidence-based architectural space – a room or a free standing building – purposely designed as a place to experience moments of calmness and the pleasure of feeling restored inside out.

Its architecture is designed according to the science-based principles of restorative architecture and biophilic design developed in 50 years of research studies on the qualities that are making a place restorative.

The physical characteristics and the architectural atmosphere of the restorative room play a key role in its effectiveness in reducing stress and anxiety and promoting the activation of the body’s own restorative systems to support and nurture people physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Restorative rooms can be integrated in residential projects, workplaces, wellness&beauty spaces, schools, hospitals and wherever there is need to de-stress and restoration.
